Tana Toraja district. Tana Toraja Regency is a regency in South Sulawesi province, with regents named Ir. Nico Biringkanae. The district capital is Makale. Before the expansion, the district has an area of 3,203 km² and a population of as many as 221 .081 inhabitants (2010). Toraja tribe who inhabit the mountainous regions and maintain a distinctive lifestyle and still shows the original Austronesian lifestyle and culture similar to Nias. This area is one of the attractions in South Sulawesi.
